Fire Chief

Duties and responsibilities:

The Fire Chief is a technical, professional and administrative position with work that encompasses planning, coordinating and directing the Fort Myers Beach Fire Control District in its mission to provide Fire, Rescue and Emergency Medical Services (EMS). The Fire Chief is responsible all for administrative and technical duties directly involving all activities of FMBFCD. The Fire Chief establishes command and control procedures for the protection of lives and property against fire and other hazards as well as to provide EMS rescue services for emergency situations. The Fire Chief works with direct oversight by the FMBFCD Board of Commissioners on overall policies, procedures, planning goals, objectives and receives general direction, the Fire Chief supervises all technical operations and in seeing that desired work results are achieved.

State certified Firefighter

State certified Paramedic

Associate in Arts – Emergency Medical Services

Bachelor of Arts – Public Administration

Master of Science – Human Resources

Currently pursuing Doctorate of Education in Organizational Leadership
